A few yellow things
A classic board game made for a New Year party. The theme of the night was just “yellow”, so the whole board is built on it. Printed 60 by 60 cm on a real playable board.
In a visualisation like this, reading order is as important as the drawing aesthetic itself. Sixty cells spiral inward and the player has to be able to follow them, and every number has to stay readable as it turns all the way round.
Two colours, cerulean and yellow, make things stand out. The icons are flat vectors, all carrying about the same weight, since the rules of the game are open to be rewritten. It went to print on laminated board-game cardboard, because it was made to be played.
